The Trust is primarily funded through hospital certification and membership fees. Additional revenue is generated through private donations and our annual fundraiser.

The Arizona Perinatal Trust (APT), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was established in September 1980. The Trust was initially funded with a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The Trust is dedicated to improving the health of Arizona's mothers and babies.

Babies born in certified hospitals have better outcomes.

Every mother and baby in Arizona should have the best care regardless of where they live in Arizona. Arizona Perinatal Trust is a private-public partnership among hospitals and health care professionals throughout Arizona, committed to this goal by supporting an effective regionalized system that promotes access to high quality of care whether delivered in community settings or regional referral centers.
